Vidya Balan Starrer Sherni Goes On Floors
Bollywood actor Vidya Balan has started shooting for her upcoming film, Sherni. The National Award-winning actor took to her social media profile and shared pictures of the Mahurat clap on the occasion of World Wildlife Day, yesterday.
Vidya Balan captioned the pictures, “Invoking blessings all across. The #Sherni shoot begins on #WorldWildlifeDay. Surreal to do the mahurat puja in an ancient temple in the middle of a forest. #AmitMasurkar @ivikramix @BhushanKumar #KrishanKumar @aasthatiku @abundantiaent @tseriesfilms @tseries.official @shikhaarif.sharma”
Sherni marks the third feature film by director Amit Masurkar. His last film, Newton (2017), was selected as India’s official entry for the 90th Academy Awards. He’d also directed the 2013 slacker-comedy Sulemani Keeda.
Sherni is written by Aastha Tiku and co-produced by T-Series and Abundantia Entertainment.
T-series head honcho Bhushan Kumar also expressed his excitement about the film. Vidya Balan is also busy with upcoming film, Shakuntala Devi – Human Computer. Directed by Anu Menon, the biopic also stars Sanya Malhotra, Jisshu Sengupta and Amit Sadh.
