Actress-model Sakshi Malik, who featured in a music video titled ‘Veham’, has said she wants to be a part of good and interesting projects in her career. She added saying that she is glad that her recently released romantic song is getting a good response from the audience.
Sakshi Malik was interacting with News Helpline to promote ‘Veham’ on Thursday in Mumbai.
‘Veham’ is penned by Rashmi Virag and composed by Manan Bhardwaj. The song is currently streaming on T-Series’ official YouTube channel.
Talking about her upcoming projects and her experience working with T-Series on ‘Veham’, Sakshi said, “I am working on a few projects but I would not like to talk about it as the makers haven’t made an official announcement of it. I want to be a part of some good and interesting projects, so yeah I would like to collaborate with T-Series more often in the future as well.”
Earlier, Sakshi Malik made an appearance in the chartbuster song ‘Bom Diggy Diggy’ from the film ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ along with Kartik Aaryan and Sunny Singh. She has also appeared in Punjabi music videos such as ‘Fashion’ and ‘Kudiye Snapchat Waaliye’.
‘Veham’ features Sakshi Malik and Asim Riaz. The song has garnered more than 21.6 million views on YouTube within a few days of its release, talking about audience response to the song, Sakshi said, “People usually connect with romantic songs. I think the video is looking amazing so I am getting a really good response for it. I knew that this song was going to be a huge it, so I am really grateful to the audience. We shot this song during the lockdown in Udaipur. When T-Series approached me, it was so good that I instantly said yes to be a part of it and I had a great time while we were shooting the song.”
‘Veham’ song is a story of one-sided love and in the song, Asim is playing the role of a one-sided lover who is in love with Sakshi (Juhi in the song), she considers him as her best friend.
Sharing her experience working with Asim Riaz in the song, Sakshi said, “It was really good. He is an amazing co-star to work with. We had fun on the sets, so we got along really well. I think Armaan Malik has also done a good job by lending his voice to the song.”
When asked Sakshi whether she would like to pair opposite Armaan Malik for a project, she said, “Of course! I would like to act with him but it depends on my role. Actually, I haven’t seen him acting. I have heard his music and I think his voice is really good. He might get a role in which he sings whether in a web series, film, or a music video, so that would suit him as an actor.
On the personal front, Sakshi got engaged to her boyfriend Santul Katahra in November this year.
