"We’re Trying To Attract Audience Back To Theatres Says Bhushan Kumar".

T-series head honcho Bhushan Kumar says that new-normal means holding hands and going forward for producers in order to attract the audience back to theatres.
Bhushan Kumar along with filmmaker Sanjay Gupta, and the entire ensemble of Mumbai Saga, including John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Samir Soni, Rohit Roy, Gulshan Grover, and more graced the trailer launch of Mumbai Saga.
Opting for theatrical release amidst pandemic and tussling over release dates with another banner in new-normal, producer Bhushan Kumar said, “When films from different banners releases on the same date, there is a business cut but at this point of time, people are taking it in a very positive way, which includes the producers and theater owners because the idea is to give variety to the audience so that they get excited and come back to theaters”
During the pandemic single screen shut down completely, Bhushan Kumar believes that major banners are out with their entire slate of release for 2021, which will encourage screen owners to re-open.
He said, “I had a word with theater owners and they themselves want different films on the same date so that more and more people are encouraged to visit the theaters. So I think everybody is holding hands and going forward, whether it’s the exhibitors or the other producers. The new normal means we have to hold hands and go together. With time, screens are opening up and we have announced the entire slate of release this year. T-series will be releasing 8-9 movies in 2021. That is giving the confidence to screen owners”
“Yash Raj Films have announced their slate for releases, Dharma has announced their 2021 line up of release, this is encouraging single screen owners to open up and some are opening up as we’re talking right now” added Bhushan.
As for Sanjay Gupta directorial Mumbai Saga, the film is set in the 80s & 90s, it chronicles the changing landscape of Mumbai when the mills were being replaced by malls and high-rise buildings.
Bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anuradha Gupta, and Sangeeta Ahir, the film is scheduled for release on 19 March 2021.
