Work With Instinct, Always have Says Kunal Khemu
Actor Kunal Khemu says his negative avatar in Kalank and edgy role in Abhay, were instinctive decision, as he has always worked with his instincts, on the sidelines of GQ Best Dressed Award Night here in Mumbai.
Kunal Khemu broke his stereotype of romantic-comedic roles in multi starrer Kalank and followed it by web-series Abhay’s sharp and edgy role. Both the roles have won him accolades and critical acclaim.
Talking about the different kind of roles, Kunal said, “It was an instinctive decision and I have always worked like that, whether it was Abhay or Kalank, and I am very happy that I made those calls and I am very proud of the work I have done”
Kunal also added that he has never shied from negative roles and in future something interesting came, he will be more than happy to portray it.
He said, “Of course, if there is something nice and interesting, why not! I have never shied away from different kind of parts or characters, and I am very happy that negative part in Kalank is appreciated the way it did.”
Post Kalank, Kunal is busy with Malang, a romantic comedy film directed by Mohit Suri, also starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani and Anil Kapoor.
Talking about his future projects, Kunal said, “Right now I am shooting for Malang with Mohit Suri. And I am really excited about it. And on top of that Abhay series is getting its second season. And there are few more things which I will release on couple of months.”
Malang marks the reunion of Mohit Suri and Aditya Roy Kapur post Aashiqui 2. The film will also have Mohit Suri and actor Kunal Khemu come together post the actor’s debut film – Kalyug.
The film is expected to release in 2020.
