YouTuber Bhuvan Bam has tested positive for coronavirus. On Sunday, he took to his Instagram story to share the news. He asked his fans not to take treat the disease lightly and urged them to maintain social distancing to avoid it.

He wrote, “Beetey Kuch dino se tabiyat kharab Chal Rahi hai (For the past few days, I've been feeling unwell). Test results have come and I'm Covid positive.”

He further added, "Iss virus ko lightly mat Lena. Mask lagao, keep sanitizing yourself. And social distancing maintain Karo (Don't take this virus lightly. Wear a mask, keep sanitizing yourself. And maintain social distancing)"

Earlier in March, Bhuvan had donated Rs 10 lakh for Covid-19 aid, distributed between the PM-CARES Fund, the CM Relief Fund, and the Feeding India initiative. The sum was his entire month's earnings from YouTube.

Bhuvan Bam enjoys a massive fan following on social media. Currently, he has almost 20 million subscribers on YouTube, 11 million followers on Instagram, and 3.7 million followers on Twitter.

He is best known for his wildly popular BB Ki Vines videos, which are short comedy sketches in which he himself portrays multiple characters.

Bam is also known for his music videos as well. He appeared in a short film named ‘Plus Minus’ alongside Divya Dutta, which later went on to garner a Filmfare Award.
