Allegations On Karan Oberoi Are Unbelievable Says Sudhanshu Pandey

Singer and Bollywood actor Sudhanshu Pandey says the allegation of his friend and former band-member are Unbelievable and he refused to believe them, on the sidelines of press-junket hosted by friends and family to support the former “A Band of Boys” singer.

Television actor Karan Oberoi has been accused of rape and extortion. A complaint was lodged with the Oshiwara Police late on Sunday and charges under the Indian Penal Code Sections 376 (rape) and 384 (extortion) were slapped against him. He was produced before a magistrate’s court which has remanded him to police custody till 9th May.

Friend and former member of the band, Sudhansh Pandey said during the press junket, “I’ve know Karan Oberoi for almost 2 decades now. We were together in the band, but before that we’re working together as actors. We’re not just friends, but we were neighbours at one point of time. So once you live this close, you’re involved in one another’s life”

“Karan has lived a disciplined lifestyle, ever since I have known or seen him. He goes to bed nine in the night, and wakes up around seven in morning. He doesn’t smoke or drink, he never parties, and his biggest outing has been to gym”

“We have seen Karan over the years, and we know, he would never do something like this in his life, the kind of allegation that has been put on him, see it is hard to believe such allegation on him. We do not believe them”

“I refuse to believe the allegations, I haven’t seen him talk to girls in high voice, or ever mistreated someone. So I find it hard to believe the allegation and we find ourselves in completely unbelievable situation. We are here to support Karan, and raise our voices, so that we can tell everyone that whatever that is happening is wrong” added Sudhansh Pandey.

As per the First Information Report lodged by the victim, the accused raped her on the promise of marriage, filmed the act and tried to extort money from her under the threat of making the video public.
