Arjun Kapoor started shooting for Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat!
After the busy schedule with India’s Most Wanted, finally Arjun Kapoor has resumed his shooting Panipat.The director has been filming his ambitious war drama, Panipat, at the Chitrakoot Ground in Andheri over the past week.
Directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar, the Indian historical period drama, stars Sanjay Dutt, Kriti Sanon, Padmini Kolhapure, Mohnish Bahl alongside the actor. While Arjun essays the role of Sadashiv Rao Bhau, Sanjay stars as Ahmad Shah Abdali and Kriti plays Parvati Bai. Besides Panipat, Arjun will also grace the big screen in Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and India’s Most Wanted.
Panipat is based on the third battle of Panipat fought between the Maratha Empire lead by Sadashiv Rao Bhau and invading forces of Ahmad Shah Abdali, the King of Afghanistan.
The battle took place on January 14, 1761 at Panipat and is considered to be one of the most eventful battles fought in the 18th century.
