Exclusive! Bhool Bhulaiya starring Akshay Kumar & Vidya Balan to get a sequel.

As per the reports after the success of comedy thriller “Bhool Bhulaiya” which was released in 2007, T Series registering the title Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 surfaced. The original film was an official remake of the Tamil hit Chandramukhi starring Rajinikanth. Chandramukhi, itself was a remake of 1993 Malayalam film, Manichitrathazhu starring Mohanlal and Shobana.

The film revolves around a US-based couple Siddharth Chaturvedi (Shiney Ahuja) and Avni (Vidya Balan), who are on a holiday in India. The newlyweds are warmly welcomed; but when Siddharth insists on staying on in his ancestral mansion. The film also featured Amisha Patel, Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav.

It is claimed that Farhad Samji who is currently busy with Housefull 4 will write and direct the movie. Once some basics are in place, the makers will start the casting for the film. It is not clear If Akshay will be roped in for the sequel too. On the work front Currently, Akshay has wrapped up Good News and is working on the South film Kanchana remake, titled Laxmi Bomb.
