EXCLUSIVE! Neena Gupta is all set to romance Shishir Sharma in “Meetha Paan” after impressing with her role in Badhaai Ho.

Versatile and popular actress, Neena Gupta has won hearts and accolades with her role in “Badhaai Ho”. The 59-year old received laurels for her performance in the movie, where she played Priyamvada Kaushik. And now, fresh off the success of the film, Gupta is ready for another mature love drama.

As per reports, Neena is paired opposite veteran film and TV actor, Shishir Sharma. The actor was last seen in 2018’s Raazi and is best known for his characters on TV. “Both the actors would be playing the leads and will hold the anchors of the project,” revealed an insider close to the project. Apparently, the two will play husband and wife in the movie. The movie is directed by Deyali Mukherjee, who has directed few acclaimed short films in the past, making this her big screen debut. The movie has got a quirky title keeping in mind the quirky romance being the crux. The makers have decided to title it Meetha Paan.

“Meetha Paan” is a sweet love story that will surely be a relief for us from the run-of-the-mill stories that are churned out in Bollywood.
