​I Am A Proud Indian, Deepika Padukone Clears Air About Her Citizenship

News was viral that Ranveer Singh stepped out to vote but wife Deepika Padukone doesn’t hold an Indian Citizen hence she was missing from the voting in current Lok Sabha Elections.

Now Actress Deepika Padukone has finally cleared the air on rumours and speculation regarding her citizenship. Since her birthplace is Denmark, rumours went around claiming that she holds a Danish passport hence she was missing from voting today.

The actress Deepika took to her social media profile and shared a picture post casting her vote and wrote, “Never has there been any doubt in my mind about who I am or where I’m from. So for those of you confused on my behalf…please don’t be! Jai Hind! #proudtobeanindian #govote”

Today B-Town celebrities such as veteran actress Rekha, Priyanka Chopra, Raresh Rawal, Ravi Kishan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Twinkle Khanna, Sonali Bendre, Goldie Behl, Vidya Balan, Kanagana Ranaut, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Dia Mirza, Ajay Devgn and many more also turned up at respective polling booth to cast their vote phase 4 polling for Lok Sabha Elections 2019.

Fourth phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2019 kicked off on Monday. The voting on all 72 constituencies began at 7 AM and will continue till 6 PM at all polling booths across Mumbai.

Meanwhile on work front, Deepika Padukone is currently busy with Chhapaak, which is based on an acid survivor victim. The film is helmed by Meghan Gulzar and also stars Vikrant Massey.
