Imtiaz Ali Wants To Make Film On Radha and Krishna

Imtiaz Ali is the latest director to go towards folklore and cultural stories for his films. He will soon release his film, Laila Majnu, which is set after the epic, timeless love story. The trailer of the film has created quite a buzz and has become one of the most anticipated romance films of the year. In a recent media interaction, Imtiaz said that he would like to make a film on the immortal love of Radha and Krishna. He said that he was always mesmerised by the story and would like to bring it on screen. Reliance Entertainment is also involved in the project.

Imtiaz Ali is well known for his emotional stories with a unique human touch. Until now, he has given us films liek Rockstar, Tamasha. Earlier, he has worked on films like Ahista Ahista, Jab We Met. His last film was the Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal.

While the concept of a Radha Krishna love story is interesting, it might be difficult to bring the story on screen. After all, there are several concepts behind the story and it is one of the world’s first spiritual love story. The scale and depth at which this story should be made is a staggering one – even for Bollywood’s biggest names.
