Kabir Singh: Rage and love knows no Boundaries!

Today the trailer for Kabir Singh starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani released, as the trailer begins, we are introduced to “chichora” Kabir Singh, essayed by Shahid Kapoor, who is asking one of his doctor friends about his female patient. Soon, a rugged Kabir puts a handful of ice pieces in his pants in public, and we know that this male protagonist isn’t really Bollywood’s quintessential ones.

Apart from the love between the lead actors, the trailer shows us the intoxicated lifestyle and anger issues that Shahid’s character goes through in the film. The film has Shahid Kapoor in two avatars—as a college rebel who falls head over heels in love with a fellow medical student and then as a surgeon failing miserably at coping with having lost her. As the very angry, bitter and dangerously self-destructive protagonist, Kapoor is in terrific form in the 2.43-minute trailer. Advani too is convincing as the beautiful, shy medical student.

Kabir Singh is the official Hindi remake of Vanga’s directorial debut, the 2017 Telugu blockbuster, Arjun Reddy, which starred Vijay Devarakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead role. The film is scheduled to hit the theaters by 21st June 2019.
