Playing Ram Jethmalani in Verdict Confirms Sumeet Vyas

Actor Sumeet Vyas confirms his role on forthcoming web-series Verdicy by ALT balaji, says he is playing the role of famous lawyer Ram Jethmalani in the series.

Ekta Kapoor helmed ALT Balaji will soon releases a new series titled The Verdict – State v/s Nanavati, based on infamous 1959 case, where a naval officer pumped bullets in a businessman.

Talking about the show on the sidelines of GQ Best Dressed Award Show, actor Sumeet said, “I am doing a show for ALT Balaji, it is titled Verdict and it is such an exciting show. It is about the infamous Nanavati case. A lot of research has been done on this case. I am playing the role of Ram Jathmalani”

“It is such an interesting show with an amazing star cast. And I thoroughly enjoyed working with such experience and talented actors” added actor.

Popular actors Sumeet Vyas and Angad Bedi will be playing lawyers Ram Jethmalani and Karl Khandalavala respectively.

Verdict, the show which is based on the true story of Commander K M Nanavati vs State of Maharashtra case had grabbed the headlines in 1959.

On April 27, 1959, a dashing Parsi Naval Officer pumped three bullets from his revolver into a rich Sindhi businessman and then went and confessed his brutal crime to the Police. The infamous story of K.M. Nanavati Vs. State of Maharashtra is still one of the most sensational criminal cases in India.

This 10-episode series will be directed by Shashant Shah.
