Big-name celebrities from all over the world and across various fields such as cinema, music, arts, literature, and sports came together recently in a special virtual event called One World: Together at Home to thank healthcare personnel at the forefront fighting coronavirus and raise funds for their efforts.
The event was curated by Global Citizen and the World Health Organization (WHO) along with the help of Lady Gaga, who also began the special the show, followed by performances from the likes of Lizzo, Billie Eilish, John Legend, Chris Martin and Jimmy Fallon among others.
Sharing a video Priyanka said, “Im honored to have been a part of One World #TogetherAtHome last night. To watch so much talent and so many real life heroes’ stories brought together from every corner of the world for one cause was unprecedented and awe inspiring. As I watched with my family, the same as so many of you in the US, India, throughout Asia, Europe, Africa, and beyond, it gave me so much hope that inspite of all the hardship maybe we’ll all emerge from this kinder and more compassionate. Thank you @glbctzn and @ladygaga for your creativity and humanity, and congratulations on raising $127.9M for COVID-19 relief. To all the healthcare workers out there, essential workers and everyone who is working through this…thank you for fighting for us every single day. Thank you, thank you, thank you…humanity will forever be indebted.

Meanwhile, on the work front, after a 3-year break from Hindi cinema, Priyanka Chopra has recently made a comeback into Bollywood with the film, ‘The Sky Is Pink’. The film also stars Farhan Akhtar, Zaira Wasim and Rohit Saraf in lead roles. The film released on October 11, 2019.
She will be next seen in Bollywood film ‘The White Tiger’. It is reportedly based on a Man Booker prize-winning novel of the same name. The movie is going to be featured on Netflix and it also stars other talented Indian actors like Rajkummar Rao. Priyanka Chopra is all set to make her fans feel awed in this village drama. The plot explains the story of a villager on a run to make his life better.
