Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe Just Got Bigger
Filmmaker Rohit Shetty and superstar Ajay Devgn created a tapestry of massively popular Singham franchise, which have been the highest grossing cop movies in the Indian Cinema.
Ranveer Singh joined the cop-universe with massive blockbuster Simmba and now Akshay Kumar is all set to make his debut in the same cop universe with Sooryavanshi.
Filmmaker and producer Karan Johar just took to his social media and made the official announcement about the amalgamation of cop-universe with Simmba, Singham and Sooryavanshi in one frame.

After the release of the first spin-off Simmba (2018) and Kumar’s cameo in the film, Sooryavanshi was announced in January 2019 by Shetty and Johar. Kumar will be playing Veer Sooryavanshi, Chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad.
Sooryavanshi also stars Katrina Kaif in the leading roles, along with Badhaai Ho veteran actor Neena Gupta, playing Akshay’s mom in the film.
It is the second spin-off of the Singham franchise. The film is slated to release on 22 May 2020 (Eid 2020).
