Sunny Deol’s Mohalla Assi gets a release date

Sunny Deol’s most controversial film till date, Mohalla Assi, has finally got a release date. The film is based on the incidents that happened between 1990 and 1998 and talks about several aspects, like the Ram Janmbhoomi issue and the Mandal Commission.

The Mohalla Assi trailer launched  a while ago, and garnered controversy because of the abusive language used by the characters. Some religious organisations had objected to the scene where a man dressed like Lord Shiva used abusive language.

Mohalla Assi is directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi and is based on the book byh Kashi Nath Singh, Kashi ka Assi.

The film has been delayed by a good three years, but it seems that Sunny Deol and Sakshi Tanwar’s film will finally see the silverscreen.
