‘Thangabali’ aka Nikitin Dheer to play antagonist in Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi.

Nikitin Dheer has been cast as the antagonist in Rohit Shetty’s cop drama “Sooryavanshi”, featuring Akshay Kumar in the lead.

The actor who played the infamous Thangaballi in Shetty’s 2013 hit “Chennai Express”, will once again be seen playing the antagonist in Rohit Shetty’s cop drama “Sooryavanshi” featuring Akshay Kumar in the lead.

Nikitin who is really excited to collaborate with Akshay says, “My father (Pankaj Dheer) did seven films with him at the start of his career. I remember watching him on set as a kid and observed the fire and passion he had. Then, I got a chance to work with him in Housefull 3 and it was a lot of fun. While that was a comedy film with a hint of action, this is an all-out action film.

Dheer said he is looking forward to re teaming with the director. Talking about playing a villain in “Sorryavanshi”, Dheer said being a part of the cop universe is a privilege. The villains have left big boots to fill and I hope I can do a job that keeps the legacy going,” he added.

The actor has previously worked with Akshay Kumar in “Housefull 3”. The film is scheduled to hit theaters by Eid 2020 also featuring Neena Gupta and Katrina Kaif.
