Trolls Working Overtime Force Tahira Kashyap To Delete Twitter Photo

Trolls don’t give cancer survivors any respite – that’s what we learnt a few hours ago, as did Tahira Kashyap., Ayushmann Khurana’s wife. An innocent photo of her sitting on the lap of a Buddha statue opened the floodgates of criticism for her.  She quickly deleted the picture and even posted an apology note on her Instagram. The headlines make it feel like she was sitting on the statue, but actually, Tahira had posed on the lap of the enormous Buddha statue. In the note, she wrote:

“I absolutely never want to be a source of hurt and pain for anyone. Sorry for unintentionally agonising few people, wish love and peace for everyone”

Kashyap has been in the news since her husband Ayushmann Khurana has become the face of the new wave cinema in Bollywood. She was also diagnosed with Stage 0 breast cancer in 2018.
