ZEE5 Vision Is Wider Says Soni Razdan

Actress Soni Razdan, who is gearing up with her latest release with ZEE 5, titled Your Truly, says the digital platforms vision is far sighted and cover wider spectrum of audience.

After the success of Bollywood blockbusters such as Uri, Simmba, Sonchiriya and many more on the platform, ZEE5 is all set to release Yours Truly – a romantic drama that showcases the story of a woman in her late fifties and her journey of finding love in the most unexpected places.

Talking about her association with ZEE 5, actress Soni Razdan said, “Heartfelt thank you to ZEE5 for showing such keen interest in the movie and also the fact they are one of the most amazing platforms that exists today in our fold. The kind of films they are looking at, their vision is really very far-sighted. They are also looking at a very wide audience spectrum”

The film is set in Kolkata and narrates the story of Mithi, a 57-year-old woman, who at the brink of her retirement realizes that the one thing she will miss the most is her daily commute to work.

The film travelled to the Busan Film Festival and was highly appreciated. It was also screened at the 24th Kolkata International Film Festival where it received critical acclaim and much praise from audiences. The film will now be available to the global audience to watch exclusively on ZEE5.

Directed by National award-winning film maker Sanjoy Nag, Yours Truly features talented actor Soni Razdan (Mithi Kumar) in the lead role alongside Pankaj Tripathi (Vijay), Aahana Kumra (Lali Kumar) and Vinay Pathak. The film also features Mahesh Bhatt in a special, impactful appearance.

The film is based on Annie Zaidi’s short story – ‘The One That Was Announced’, the heart warming story premiers on May 3, 2019 exclusively on ZEE5.
