"Contestants of ‘Bigg Boss 14’ are copying contestants of previous seasons says Mahira Sharma".
Actress and ‘Bigg Boss 13’ contestant Mahira Sharma feels that contestants of ‘Bigg Boss 14’ are imitating contestants of previous seasons. She added that if contestants of this season will start showing their true personality then the show will do well in the coming days.
Mahira Sharma was interacting with the media on Tuesday in Mumbai.
When asked Mahira whether she is following the current season of ‘Bigg Boss’ and who is her favorite contestant from the show, she said, “I have watched just two episodes of ‘Bigg Boss’, so I don't know who is doing better and who is not. But I personally like Jasmin Bhasin in the show. I think deserving will win the show and others have to go at the end.”
When asked Mahira whether she feels that in the current season of ‘Bigg Boss’ contestants are imitating contestants of the previous season, she said, “I think previous seasons of ‘Bigg Boss’ were good but our season (Bigg Boss 13) was one of the biggest hits. We didn’t copy anyone in the show but I think in this season, people are copying contestants of previous seasons, so when you start copying someone then people don’t enjoy that. When you do original things in the show even if it is fight, romance or friendship then the audience connects with you otherwise, it doesn’t look good on screen as well.”
She added, “I don’t think this season will gain popularity like the previous season of ‘Bigg Boss’ because we did original things and in this season, people are copying everything from previous seasons. I don’t think any season will be able to touch the popularity of the 13th season of ‘Bigg Boss’ because it had unique concept and good contestants. When contestants of this show will start showing their true personality then I think the show will do well in the coming days.”
Talking about her recent advertisement shoot for ‘Bigg Boss’, Mahira said, “I am shooting for an advertisement for ‘Bigg Boss’. It was a really nice experience because I really like to perform when I am doing my own dialogues. In music videos, you just have to give expressions, so when you have to recite dialogues then it's fun shooting for it. I am very happy that I am shooting with my own team over here."
In the current season of ‘Bigg Boss’, the makers of the show decided to bring three contestants from the previous season – it includes Sidharth Shukla (winner - Bigg Boss 13), Gauhar Khan (winner - Bigg Boss 7), and Hina Khan (runner up – Bigg Boss 11).
When asked Mahira whether ‘seniors’ should go from the show because the current season’s contestants are not opening up because of the presence of ‘seniors’, she said, “I don’t think if ‘seniors’ will go then it will affect the show. I think people who want to express themselves are already doing it in the presence of ‘seniors’ and even if they (seniors) go then what’s the point in being silent because it has already been one week since the show has started, so let’s see how they perform once ‘seniors’ go out from ‘Bigg Boss’ house.”
Talking about her upcoming projects, Mahira said, “My few music videos are going to be released very soon. I am also working on a web series and I will start shooting for a film next year.”
