"Parul Yadav, Suhana Khan, and Mimi Chakraborty take swipe at misogyny".
Kannada film actress Parul Yadav, Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan and Bengali film actress and Loksabha MP Mimi Chakraborty are one of the few women who have come forward and took a jibe at Narcotics Control Bureau’s ongoing drug scandal investigation in connection with actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.
They have raised questions that why only female stars are being 'exposed' and the names of male actors are not coming under the radar of NCB. The Indian federal law enforcement and intelligence agency (NCB) have earlier arrested Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty and they have issued summons to female actors such as Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, and Rakul Preet Singh for further investigation of the case.
Parul Yadav shared a collage picture of Sara Ali Khan, Rhea Chakraborty, Shraddha Kapoor, Deepika Padukone on her Instagram page, and called these actresses ‘India’s Most Wanted’. She further went on to add the hashtag ‘repeat after me #MenDontDoDrugs’. Parul also criticized news channel for carrying out media trial against these actresses, she wrote, “I have to thank all of our fabulous news channels for inspiring me to create this poster.. #publicservice #mendontdodrugs #somebodysaveindianmen #realissuesmatter #rheachakraborty #deepikapadukone #shraddhakapoor #sanjanagalrani #raginidwivedi #saraalikhan #justiceforsushantsinghrajput #justiceshouldbeblind #sandalwooddrugmafia #NCB #drugsmafia”.
On Thursday, Suhana took to her Instagram handle to put out a cryptic message on her stories, talking about 'misogyny' and 'conditioned hateful behavior towards women'.
Sharing a tweet by a social media user, Suhana wrote, 'the double standards are scary'. She followed it with a broken heart emoji.
The tweet read, "Misogyny is not only conscious hate towards women, but it's also subconscious conditioned hateful behavior towards women. You don't have to consciously think you hate women but ask yourself why when a woman does something you feel more triggered than if it was done by a man."
Earlier, actress-turned-politician Mimi Chakraborty, on Tuesday took to her verified Twitter handle to share her opinion on the alleged Bollywood-drugs nexus that is currently being probed by the NCB. A TMC leader and Member of Parliament from West Bengal's Jadavpur constituency, Mimi had a sarcastic take on the matter after several B-town actresses were summoned by the NCB.
Talking about how 'patriarchy women' in Bollywood are being named in the drugs-related case with no mention of male actors by the federal investigating agency, she wrote that the men in the industry only 'cook and clean and pray for their better half'.
Mimi wrote on Twitter, "Yes patriarchy Women in Bollywood go for Hash nd drugs or whatever and men in Bollywood cook and clean and pray for their better half-wit joined hands and tears in the eye “Bhagwan unki Raksha Karna” (sic)."
Top Bollywood actors including Deepika Padukone, Rakul Preet, and designer Simone Khambatta were summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after their names were revealed by Sushant Singh Rajput former talent manager Jaya Saha or found in her chats during the probe into the drug angle in the actor's death case. Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor have also been summoned.
According to news reports, Padukone and Rakul Preet Singh will appear before NCB on September 25 while Shraddha Kapoor & Sara Ali Khan will be grilled on September 26.
Actress Sara Ali Khan landed in Mumbai on Thursday along with her brother Ibrahim Ali Khan. Both of them were holidaying in Goa. Deepika Padukone was shooting for one of her upcoming films in Goa and she landed in Mumbai on Thursday night along with actor husband Ranveer Singh to face NCB’s inquiry.
